Allen B. Bostrom, CPA, is President and CEO of Universal Accounting Center based in Salt Lake City, UT. He has over 30 years experience with businesses of all sizes and has taught over 25,000 people different aspects of Accounting and Business Management. He has authored countless business management articles for publication and distribution. His weekly e-zine goes to 20,000 readers. Additionally, he has developed coursework that is used in Universal Accounting Center campuses across the country.

Prior to his appointment as President, Mr. Bostrom has been a practicing accountant since 1976 and has held accounting positions for the Exxon Corporation in Houston, Texas, for more than 12 years. He has also developed and managed his own private accounting practice.

As a son of a freelance accountant Allen began working in an accounting firm when he was 13 years old. Upon completion of his accounting degree in 1980 Allen became an accountant for a Fortune 100 company where he passed the CPA exam in the top 10% of the nation on his first attempt.

Recognizing a preference for the spontaneity and energy of small business he decided to return to freelance work and worked exclusively with small businesses as he quickly built his own accounting service.

Allen is a much sought-after speaker and presenter promoting the importance of using accounting information in business decision-making. He is the Author of the book, "In the Black". He has taught marketing to thousands of small business owners, CPA, Accountants and Bookkeepers for the purpose of building their businesses all across the nation.

Kenneth B. Bostrom, PB

Vice President of Administrations

Ken Bostrom is the Vice President of Administration for Universal Accounting Center overseeing the daily operations, training and roles of staff management. He has 16 years of experience with Universal and has been instrumental in Universal's success and the success of our clients and graduates. He is also a licensed accounting and computer software instructor. Over the course of his career, Mr. Bostrom has provided accounting services and consultation for a variety of small businesses. He has also worked as a computer support representative for a California-based software company. Mr. Bostrom has an extensive background in computer maintenance and instructing others in using word processing and accounting software programs.

Mr. Bostrom's published training manual for QuickBooks entitled UAC's Guide to QuickBooks Pro clearly enables the accounting professional to maneuver confidently through the program. Most of his time is spent training individuals and small businesses numbering in the thousands in start-up techniques and successful operation of an accounting and bookkeeping service.

His association with Universal Accounting Center has enabled him to help thousands of companies over the years succeed and prosper. In addition to his role as Vice President of Universal Accounting Center and owns his own bookkeeping service.

Roger A. Knecht

Vice President of Operations

As the Vice President of Operations for Universal Accounting Center, Mr. Knecht oversees all national and international trainings offered by Universal Accounting to help those enrolled improve their accounting and tax careers or firms. With his bachelor's degree in communications and his background in marketing and recruiting, Mr. Knecht has proven himself to be an invaluable asset to UAC graduates.

Mr. Knecht has been instrumental in launching and growing thousands of accounting practices. Mr. Knecht has been a favorite presenter at Universal's seminars, combining wit and wisdom in sharing the principles of small business success. Roger has extensive experience in marketing and management with corporations of all sizes and has successfully implemented the principles of growth that he speaks about. Roger is a past Vice President of Education for IMA — Utah Chapter. He also has extensive experience in the Accounting Staffing industry. He earned his degree in Communications from Brigham Young University.

David Sherwood

Director of Campuses

As the Director of Campuses for Universal Accounting Services and is responsible for the fiscal and strategic planning of UAC campuses through out the nation. His years of marketing and recruiting have been a valuable asset as graduates learn the steps necessary to build a successful accounting practice and reach their dreams.

Mr. Sherwood has pioneered the marketing curriculum at Universal and has worked with accountants all over the country to build their practices. Having spent years perfecting a system of marketing the accounting practice that is now a bona fide way to get you clients using no-cost and low-cost marketing methods has allowed Universal create the Universal Practice Builder Program.

Mr. Sherwood has had over 20 years of sales, marketing and marketing management experience. He built his own successful internet marketing firm and has had extensive experience in major telemarketing call centers prior to Universal.

Currently he is the acting Chairman of the Board of the Murray Area Chamber of Commerce in Murray, Utah.

Clay Neves

National Seminar Director

Mr. Neves currently serves as the National Seminar Director for Universal Accounting Center. He leads the planning, coordination and implementation of UAC Seminars nationwide to promote and offer various training and workshops. With a BSBA Degree in Marketing and as a former Executive Director of a local Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Neves helps small business owners achieve marketing success.
